Gracie is a beautiful, sweet, older dog who is slowed somewhat by arthritis, but who loves nothing more than to roll around on her back and have her tummy scratched.

She is very smart and eager to please, is already well-trained to sit and lie down, and does wonderfully walking on a leash. She’s very affectionate with people but does not get along very well with other dogs, so probably needs to be in a single-dog household. She does,however, like very small dogs.

People are often only interested in puppies or younger dogs, but there are special pleasures to be found in adopting a sweet, laid back, older dog who is already fully mature and well-trained and knows how to relax and enjoy life’s quiet times.

Gracie deserves to spend her remaining years lying on a rug at your feet or on a cushion in front of the fireplace in the wintertime. She would make a loyal, devoted friend and companion to the right kind of caring person who is not looking for a highly active dog.
