Joe

Joe wants to sleep his next night in a nice warm, soft bed...he is so tired of sleeping here at the shelter! Joe is a male, brindle Portuguese Fila/ Rotti mix. He is about 18 months old. He has been in the shelter for almost a year! He is a great, lovable dog. He loves his toys! Loves to play with balls and chew toys. He's also good with other dogs. He knows how to sit, stay, down, paw, and will "wait" for a treat. He also loves to give hugs! He is a very smart dog. Joe seems to suffer from separation anxiety...he will bond to you very quickly and hates for you to leave his side, but he is learning that it is ok to be alone sometimes. He needs a dominant owner who understands his alpha pack insticts. We'll be sad to see him go, but it's about time that Joe found a good home. If you are looking to adopt two big dogs, Joe and Veyta get along quite well and are best buddies here at the shelter, they would be happy to find a home together, but don't necessarily have to be adopted together!
