Liz

Liz (affectionately called Lizzie) is a Lab/Great Pyrenees mix. She is approximately 2 years old. She is very laid back both in the house and outside, unless she sees the leash; then she shows you how excited she is to go outside. She loves attention from everyone and remembers most of the time that she is a big dog (~90 lbs). She doesn’t jump, just likes to lean and nudge. She listens well and understands commands like sit and down (we are working on a few more). She loves her designated ‘bed’ now but did want to lie on the couch when she came to her foster’s house. She is house trained, but being still fairly young, needs to be kept on a schedule for potty breaks for best results. She walks pretty well on a leash; her current foster family’s nine year old walks her daily with little difficulty, though she will pull if other dogs are around. She also tends to dig in the yard if left unattended. Liz barks at wildlife in the yard, but for the most part remains content outside even after many hours. She is also crate trained although we rarely put her there. She doesn’t beg at dinner time but if food is left unattended she will try to steal it. She gets along well with other dogs and cats in the home. She loves children too (current foster has 6, 9 and 13 yr old).

Liz is up-to-date with routine shots and worming. She is also spayed and microchipped.
