My Story

Hey there! Louise here, and I'm looking for my very own Thelma to ride shotgun with me. I am a 2-year-old, 70-pound, hound/beagle mix gal. I am leash and house trained, which is a good thing, because I hate being in a crate. I am friendly, playful, and a bit nervous/skittish. I get along with other dogs, cats, and bigger, sturdier kiddos (I might accidentally knock little bitties down). I LOVE to play with squeaky toys, especially ones that squeak easily enough for me to boop it with my nose. My forever home needs a yard for me to run and play in. No apartments for me. Another dog to play with would be great too, but I will be fine as an only dog if I get plenty of play time and attention from my people. My ideal family is home more often than not and will take me with them on adventures to dog friendly places whenever possible. If you'd like to be my partner in crime, fill out an application today! My adoption fee is $150 and includes my spay/neuter, vaccinations, wellness exam, heartworm test, and microchip! **Petfinder inquiries are NOT official applications! If you're interested in meeting/adopting me, please visit www.rescueonespringfield.com/our-adoption-process/adoption-application/ and fill out the form! We do adopt out of state with vet references and video home check. *Adopter is responsible for coming to get the dog and returning the dog if the adoption does not work out* Don't forget to LIKE us on Facebook!-www.facebook.com/rescueonespringfield *Remember, dogs are pack animals. Because of this, Rescue One does not adopt to outdoor-only homes. Pets are family and are not disposable. Please make sure that you are 100% committed to a pet before considering adding one to your home. We are a foster-based organization, and we need more fosters to help us save more animals! If you’re interested in saving lives just like the one you’re reading about, fill out a foster app here.
