all about cool hand luke.

luke was found the day after halloween playing with a neighbor's bichons one early (about 6)morning.

he was very friendly but some kids were walking to school and were afraid to cross the street. our neighbor asked us to help so we took him in as all knew he would be put to sleep if the dog catcher came out.

we assumed he had gotten out halloween and it would be easy to find the owners.

luke was wearing no collar and was found to be neutered around 1 year old or so.

we took him to our vet who scanned and found a chip. the chip was never registered but was put in by an organization called saving animals across the border. they only do chips for money so they keep no records. a dead end.

we put up signs in the 3 neighborhoods, oakwood glen, spring creek forest and spring creek oaks.
john went online and put notices on petfinder and fidofinder.

we let him inside. we have a number of dogs, from young to 14 years, from 4 pounds to 80 pounds, from friendly to cranky.

luke gets along with them all, just ignoring the cranky ones.

he is completely house broken, loves to play in front or the back and come in and sleep on the beds.

he is not food aggressive at all, even letting others take his food. because of this, he has lost weight, but we are working on that.

he loves to chew on rawhide chewies.

i took him in for his shots and gave no problems.

he does not bark.

luke's day consists of playing outside all day with his aussie and cocker friends, eating and visiting inside then coming to share a bed with 2 adults, a cat, and 2 other dogs. he loves to snuggle under the covers next to you.

luke takes a bath with no problems, and yes, gets along with cats.
