You may have noticed that one of my eyes is a little different. I was diagnosed with Horner's Syndrome. Horner's Syndrome is caused by damage to the sympathetic nervous system as it supplies the eye on the affected side of the head. It can usually look like one eye having a small pupil, elevated third eyelid, and a retracted eyeball. The majority of the time, no cause is identified and there is no specific treatment. This is not painful and in most causes no problem for long term health. In some dogs it will resolve on its own and in other cases it be a permanent cosmetic condition.
