Margo's house training is progressing well, and she is crate trained. She walks well on a leash and enjoys taking in all the exciting sights and smells. She gets along well with her foster family's resident dogs, and backs away from the cat, who apparently rules the roost.
As you can see from her new photos, Margo loves her foster family's kids!
Update 6/8/09: Margo has arrived in foster care in New England, where this pretty six-month-old girl has been busy smothering everyone with happy puppy kisses. She LOVES her foster family's children, who range in age from 4 years old to 10 years old, and she's super tolerant of their attention. She loves kids so much, in fact, that her puppyish enthusiasm might be too much for a family with toddlers.
Margo is six months old and weighs 27 pounds. She can sit on command and has been learning to walk on a leash like a lady. Although she was the dominant puppy in her litter, she respects her foster family's resident dogs and has settled into the household very nicely. She hasn't met any cats in foster care.
Her house training is off to a good start, and she sleeps in her crate at night without a problem. Like any pup in training, she needs frequent breaks to go outside.
She has a medium energy level and likes to romp and play with the other dogs. She'll need regular opportunities for exercise to be healthy, but she doesn't need to be in constant motion. Her foster mom thinks Margo would be happiest in an active household, maybe with kids or another canine to play with.
Margo is ready to find her forever family and smother them with love and kisses!
