What a gem! Our volunteer who met Mattie told us: “She is just the sweetest girl who will come over to you and bow her head down into your chest so she can ‘hug’ you. She is just a gorgeous Lab with an equally gorgeous personality. Very, very, very sweet. Someone is going to be very blessed to add this girl to their family!”
Mattie is a four-and-a-half year old young lady who is a petite 50 or pounds – perfect for cuddling with. Mattie has been well loved and cared for. When her family had to move to accommodations that did not allow dogs, we were happy to help find Mattie just the perfect new forever home.
A sensitive girl who bonds quickly, she’s a little shy meeting new folks, but warms up in no time and makes friends easily with everyone. Mattie is housetrained, knows sit, down, stay and comes when called . . . she’ll offer a paw too. She’s pretty good on the leash and, being on the smaller side, is very manageable. Mattie enjoys other dogs, but cats better get their running shoes on! Like all young ladies, Mattie enjoys the spa treatment – a bath, brushing and general fussing over.
Petite, affectionate, puppy-like and a total sweetheart, Mattie will truly be a blessing to her new family!
