Maverick weighs around 30 pounds, and is all legs and ears- very adorable. He's been doing great with house training and sleeps through the night in his crate. He's getting the hang of walking on a leash and learning to sit when asked as well! He rode very well in the car.
He has a medium level of energy and would do great with a family that wants to be active with their dog and then have him curl up on the floor at their feet for a nice nap. Maverick has a strong desire to please his people, so his foster mom believes he would be a wonderful family dog.
He does well with his foster family's two dogs and behaves in a submissive manner with them, but he is not scared. He's definitely got a normal amount of puppy playfulness and is still getting used to how tall he is - and learning to use those long legs in a coordinated manner! He's still not sure about stairs, but is a faster learner and will get the hang of them soon. He's great at fetch and will be a wonderful companion for a lucky family.
Notes from our partner shelter: Maverick is the lover of the group. He's had enough of his sisters and ready for a new home where he can love on everyone all by himself!! He is the long legged one of the bunch so probably will be tall and lanky.
