Meggie our Coonhound is ready for a home of her own. Meg is about 2 to 3 years old and weighs approx. 50 lbs. Meggie is spayed and fully vetted.
This sweet girl will need a home with a large, fenced-in yard. Being a Coonhound and true to her breed Meg likes to bay when she is stimulated and feels the urge to voice herself. She is not overly vocal BUT it may cause problems living in a condo or townhouse.
Meg loves to play with other dogs but has not been permitted off leash yet on our walks. She is walking nicely on a halte (head harness). Meggie is house-trained and crate trained. Her only fault....COUNTER SURFING ;-)
WHAT WE KNOW ABOUT MEG'S PAST...
Meg came to us from Price, Utah where her rescuer was fostering her for over 4 months after she found Meg lost and suffering from a bear attack. Meg was used as a bear/cougar bait dog but was attacked by a bear and rather than vet her they left her to die. Thankfully Julie found Meg with her transmitter collar on and rushed her to the vet to have her wounds stitched up. Meg is good to go now and has recovered VERY well from her past. She is an amazing dog and has a heart of gold.
