This is Mitzy. She is four years old and a petite 16 pounds. She was rescued from a breeding kennel in the eastern part of PA but her puppy factory days are over and now she is settling nicely into her new roll of Miss Mitzy, Princess of the manor.
Because of her days in the kennel she is still learning to be a good family member but has been catching on very, very quickly. People still scare her a bit but she is learning that we are not all unkind…and sometimes we come bearing yummy treats. Although, when you come home you will never see a more enthusiastic welcome wagon than Miss Mitzy. Once you earn her trust she will follow you around EVERYWHERE but you have to be careful because she can accidentally get under your feet.
She loves other dogs and it would be the preference for her to have a brother or sister to show her the ropes as she discovers this big world. Mitzy LOVES taking walks and is very good on the leash. She is playful and energetic but she still loves to relax on her special bed in the living room. Although she has come a long way with housetraining she will need a home to continue working with her. She does bark a bit when you leave the house but she does quickly quiet so if you live in an apartment with cranky neighbors this girl may not be for you. Although she is a very sweet girl she should not placed in a home where small children are living full time because she is still very skittish and jumpy.
Mitzy is a very sweet easy going girl who is looking for her very own family to start her new life. Her foster mom may be partial, but she says everyone who meets her simply falls in love with that sweet face!
