Mya

UPDATE: Mya is still with us and I just don't know why. She is just an awesome dog that wants nothing more than a home to call her own. Today one of her puppies came to Petsmart to say hi and she was 7 months old and almost as big as Mya. That means Mya has been waiting that long to find a home. If you have a spot in your home and heart please consider giving Mya a forever home. She promises to be your best friend forever!! UPDATE: Mya has been with SFTS for over 4 months and nobody here can understand this. She is just the most loving dog in the world. Mya lets people touch her feet and pull on her ears. When she broke off her nail she let us hold her foot in in a bucket of cleaning solution and she just layed on the floor like a good girl. When kids come by her kennel at Petmart she loves them. In fact one time a little girl stuck her arm in the kennel and grabbed her nose and squeezed it. Mya just sat there and didn't seem to mind it. Since she was a mama dog I think she would love a kid to watch over and protect. Mya is doing a lot better around other dogs. She still likes to be the alpha but once the dog rolls are figured out she is fine, she even likes to play with them. All of her puppies have gotten adopted and gone to wonderful homes and now Mya is waiting for her turn to find her home. Won't you consider giving a wonderful mother a chance for a wonderful life? She never asked to be in this position, she is just an innocent animal whos previous owner should have never had a dog.

Hi my name is Mya and I came to Shelter From The Storm with a litter of puppies. The people here tell me it probably wasn't my first. Me and my puppies all came to the shelter after our mom got in some trouble and went to jail. I get along with other dogs and love people. Since I am a mama dog I like to be the boss over dogs. If you want to meet me come to Petsmart East Saturdays from 10-2.

Important Information

Most dogs & puppies will be available to meet each Saturday from 10-2 at Madison's eastside PETsMART. You will be able to meet the dogs by appointment as well.

COST: The Adoption fee is $175 for adult dogs and $250 for dogs under six months with a $50 discount with proof of an completed obedience class.

The fee includes all vet care such as spay/neuter, vaccinations, heartworm test, heartgard, frontline, grooming and any other vet care needed to be sure each animal is ready for adoption.
