My Story

The quintessential Montana girl: Beautiful, Humorous, and Outdoorsy! This is Navy! She was found as a stray and spent four long months in a shelter before we were contacted about her. We understand why she was at the shelter that long, a big (she is over 70lbs), scared, black dog is never a good combination… but we tend to disagree! Navy is Amazing! Let us tell you about her… Navy is a 2-3 year old Lab mix. And boy, does she have a BIG personality as she is a ham! She loves to be the silliest girl in the room. I mean her curly pig tail should say it all. She has obviously had some adversity so it takes about 5-10 minutes for her to warm up but she is a sucker for treats. Navy loves other dogs and is very playful. Navy also does fine with cats and livestock. Navy loves kiddos, but due to her size older kids would be best. Navy is an outdoor girl, she loves the water, being outside, and going for walks and hikes. Navy is also not opposed to cuddling on the couch or bed either, as she is very affectionate with her people. Navy does well in a crate, is the best passenger in a vehicle, and knows basic commands plus being house trained. Homeownership and a fenced yard is preferred. Navy is spayed, UTD on vaccines, microchipped and dewormed. This rescue will not adopt out to individuals that have unaltered domestic pets in their care.
