My Story

Nina is a wonderful, affectionate dog who deserves a happy family. She is about one-year old, black lab x English springer spaniel mix, and weighs 43 lbs. She craves for attention -- she loves belly rubs, gives kisses, curls up next to you, and wags her short tail as fast as she can when she sees you. She is friendly to everyone, crate trained, housebroken, knows basic commands, loves car rides, and walks on a leash. She has beautiful long legs and would be a great jogging companion. Her shiny black coat is maintenance-free, and her big brown eyes would melt your heart. She loves children of all ages, but would do best in a home with older children (five or older) since she still jumps. She is a little bossy, so would do well with older dogs or as the only dog in the house. Nina is spayed, heartworm negative, up to date on all shots, and in excellent health overall.

This organization is run by volunteers only and we try our best to save as many homeless pets as possible. Since there are only a few volunteers, please understand that we are unable to answer phone calls about the animals. The first step is to fill out an adoption application which you can find on the Pet Rescue website: www.ny-petrescue.org and we will contact you as soon as possible, usually within 5 days. Pet Rescue doesn't have a shelter where you can come and meet the dogs. All showings are by appointment after your application has been approved. If you have any questions, please email us at [email protected] .

If you would like to sponsor a dog, please go to our home page at www.ny-petrescue.org. To sponsor the vet care of a dog, we need $100; to sponsor the transport of a dog, we need $25. Partial sponsorship is always appreciated.
