ADOPTED!! Meet Pash, Pash, B'Gosh....this 2 yr old little lady has been with us for quite some time. We rescued her from a shelter in LA where she was on the "orthopedic" list. She had been hit by a car and her rear leg had been broken in two places. Who would have guessed a little 14 pounder could survive such trauma. Even with a broken bone that hadn't been set, she was the most loving and grateful gal ever. She wasn't yippy, yappy, snappy or defensive...she was her easy-going, loving self and so appreciative of having been rescued. Once we got her to San Diego, it was off to the vet she went for her estimate...before the week was out, sweet Pasha had her bones aligned and a couple of metal pins inserted and healing commenced. 4-6 weeks weeks of no activity might sound like an easy thing to do, but when you're a playful little girl like Pash, that's a lot to ask. Pasha passed with flying colors and was the perfect, well-mannered patient. She didn't fuss or howl or whine. She relaxed as she was supposed to & before we knew it, she was doing laps around Fiesta Island with her pack. After about 10 weeks of healing with the assistant of pins, back Pash went for surgery #2 and the pins were removed and that meant, back to no activity for another 2 weeks, followed by a slow rehab period for another 4 weeks. Now that all of that is behind, you'd never know our sweet Pasha ever had a broken bone in her body. She can run 5 miles without as much as a pant and she's fast as lightening for a little thing with short legs. Beach runs are Pasha's absolute favorite activity, so if you're thinking of adopting this little gal, surf and sand need to be in your future on a frequent basis. You'd swear she's part hound dog the way that nose sis glued to the ground,,,it is pure joy watching her out at the beach! Pasha is the perfect little pooch, she's happy-go-lucky, confident, relaxed, affectionate, easy-going and obedient. She loves other dogs and does fine with cats too. She's never met a person she didn't like, including kids...she's our social butterfly. If you'd like to meet Pasha, please go to www.thebarkinglot.net and fill out an application or email
