My Story

Meet Gentle and Sweet Payden Spayed female, 1 year old, 44 lbs When Payden was about a couple of months old, she was spotted by a construction worker near the construction site. Worried about the little pup's safety amid the heavy machinery, the worker immediately took the puppy under his wing and named her Payden. Due to the busy construction work, Payden often found herself either tethered or left to roam freely. When the construction job was done, Payden followed the rescuer to another city's construction site, where she continued to enjoy her newfound freedom. However, in this new site, there was heavy truck traffic. It made Payden more challenging to stay away from the trucks. A neighbor lady frequently spotted Payden darting dangerously close to traffic. She approached the worker if he would consider letting her take over Payden for a better home. But just as Payden was about to leave the construction site, she suddenly vanished without a trace. Panic ensued among the site's occupants as they frantically searched for Payden. A day passed with no sign of her. People started to worry about Payden’s safety. They went to the nearby police station, hoping to find any clue from the surveillance. Fortune favored their efforts as the police eventually spotted an elderly scavenger taking Payden away. By following the trail, they finally found Payden the next day. Immediately, Payden was taken to an animal hospital for thorough checkups. Thank God she was okay without any tiny injury. After giving Payden the necessary shots, she moved to a foster home waiting for a second chance. “I have not seen a gentle and patient puppy like Payden who is doing so well with young children”, the foster mom said. Payden adjusted remarkably well at the foster, particularly enjoying the company of children and humans. Despite his lively personality, he didn't engage in destructive behaviors or snatch at unapproved items. Payden is amazingly patient, acting as a quiet guardian, tolerating children’s rough pettings and exciting screaming without complaint. Even though a home cat is coming down and up, Payden shows no aggression towards the cat. Due to Payden has not many chances to meet other dogs, she is a little nervous when encountering new dogs indoors, in alert barking but with no aggression. If the new dog does not continually bug her, she warms up quickly after they get to know each other better. Payden is playful outdoors. She enjoys playing running and chasing dogs outdoors to make new friends. If she encounters some alpha dog, she will try to please him or just walk away. Payden is very friendly to humans. In her eyes, humans are all nice creatures. She is such a sweet home dog for all ages.
