Pepper

Bashful boy, Pepper, is such a sweetheart. He has had minimal socialization and so is frightened of people and new experiences. He is a hound mix and about 7 months old, and just so, so sweet. We need to get this boy out of the shelter. He was an owner surrender with four other siblings, through no fault of his own. He clearly lacks socialization, but not the ability to give love, and begin to trust humans. We have no idea why he and his siblings are so frightened, but that should not be held against him. He has a love to give, we know, to the right family and his past traumas should not be held against him. There is a perfect family out there for him somewhere. Right now, he's working with Andrew, a dog trainer, for about 2 weeks, and he's already made great improvement after three days as you can see in the video. If you have a loving and understanding home and family, you may just be the perfect match for this boy. He will complete his initial socialization exercise and training in about 10 days, but will require understanding and love beyond that to help him flourish and thrive in a new loving family environment. If you have room in your heart and home for this sweet boy, please consider adopting him! A shelter is certainly not the place for a boy at his young age.
