Peri - MI

Hi, my name is Peri! I'm a female German Shepherd born around 06/12/22! I'm spayed, heartworm negative and UTD on vaccines and preventatives. I weigh 58 lbs, very underweight. I was found by one of TAP's board members and taken in by her as a foster. I was in horrible shape! I could barely stand. I was taken to a vet where I was found to be pregnant. I'm now recovering at my fosters' home. My foster mom says that I'm starting to explore and have been eating well but still very thin. I don't pay attention to cats or other dogs- I'm just a very passive girl. I am very loving though. I'm dreaming of a home where I will be loved and cared for as a family member one day. We DO, however, transport monthly to the metro Detroit area of MI. Because we’re able to transport, we ARE able to accept adoption applications directly from residents of MI. Why do we transport? Because animal overpopulation is severe in our region, and stray and unwanted dogs have very little chance of finding a home here. These babies are, however, at a high risk of being neglected, abused, abandoned, euthanized or even shot (it’s “the way things are done” for some people down here). YOU are truly one of the only safe and happy endings for the lucky ones we are able to rescue. Upon approval of your adoption application, we will then transport your new furbaby to you in the metro Detroit area for just a small travel expense fee of $50 in addition to the adoption fee.
