Persey is a loving, energetic, strong boy who is eager to please, but will definitely take over the show if allowed. He loves a good game of tug with his tug-toys and His puppy-dog eyes will have your heart melting in no time. Persey has been crate trained. He uses that at night and when left alone during the day. He is most comfortable in a routine. Persey does have some reactivity behaviours toward other dogs that will need work with a trainer experienced with rescue dogs and behaviour modification. Long walks with lots of sniffing opportunities and some on-leash playtime are important for Persey. Structured training will be essential to Persey’s long-term success and will be an adoption requirement. Persey needs a strong leader (both physically and mentally) that can show him that he is safe and protected and can build on his discipline and control around strangers (two - and four-legged). Consistency and boundaries here really are key. With continued support and strong leadership, he will no doubt quickly become your loyal companion.
