Pierce & Caesar (Bonded Odd Couple)

It takes a special kind of person to adopt 2 rescued pups at once. 2 dogs who've been shuffled around in homes, shelters and boarding all because they became inconvenient. It takes a big heart to see past their age and unknown circumstances or breeds and to say yes to giving them a home because they need one and they deserve one. Caesar and Pierce are a bonded pair. We don't know why, we don't know how, but we know that when one has to go to a vet visit, the other waits for their return home. We know that Pierce can be away from Caesar for an hour but when he gets home, he greets him like he's been away for weeks. There's no reason to separate these 2, to do so wouldn't be fair for all the unfairness they've already lived. Caesar is a 9-year-old, old man. He loves sunbathing and scratches. He'll weave in and out of your legs with his big ol' 67lb frame like a cat trying to get pets at all angles. He's definitely a Pittie mix and he loves his people and his dogs. He is a surrogate big brother to 27lb Pierce who compliments his big buddy so well with his playful energy and love of all toys -squeaky or not. 2-year-old Pierce looks to Caesar for a boost of confidence. He's on the shyer side of the 2 and although he loves his people, he appreciates a slow introduction so he can take time to sniff and process. Pierce is a Heinz 57 and as much as we'd like to guess his breeds, we'd be lying to you if we did. Caesar is described as confident, obedient, sensitive and kind. He loves his car rides and naps on the couch. He's king of chill and doesn't let much ruffle his feathers other than cats.... for this reason, we look forward to a feline-free zone where both of these boys can live out their days without a care in the world and the security of knowing that this is forever. Both of these boys will fill your home with love, loyalty and warmth. They sleep soundly (together) in their crates at night and appreciate a game of fetch in the grass or a leashed walk. Pierce and Caesar are currently living in San Antonio but are available to adopt to the Northeast.
