Pip *Pending*

Pip is a young (1-2 year), lively, longhaired Chihuahua. He is black and tan, tiny (weighs less than 5 pounds), and is as cute as the dickens! He is good with other dogs and most cats (he wants to play, and so older cats who want to be left alone will not appreciate his efforts to have fun with them). He is so small and therefore fragile that he probably would do better in a home without small children.

Like most Chihuahuas, he is a big dog in a small dog package. He thinks it’s his job to protect the home, and will bark when visitors (or strangers) show up. Pip can be known to throw "tantrums" so he can get his way and rule the house. We ask that an experienced dog owner, or someone who is willing to use the help of a dog trainer adopt Pip as he needs to be properly shown that he is not alpha.

He is very affectionate and wants to be with his pack (people and/or other dogs) at all times. He does okay in a crate, but doesn’t really enjoy it. He still needs a little work on house-training, but does have the gist of it.

Pip’s adoption fee is $200, which includes his neuter surgery and vaccinations (parvo/distemper and rabies.)
