PAWSITIVELY PERFECT PIPER! This cute pup would thrive in a family with kiddos! Piper is all about playing and having fun! She is the quintessential family pet! She cracks us all up - she will greet our kennel techs with her bowl in her mouth! She has oodles of personality! The words that best express this petite pup are zesty, agile, energetic, and sweet! However, Piper is a youngster (approx 12 months) in the confining environment of an overcrowded shelter. She just has needs regular playtime, enrichment and socialization to be her best self. Amazingly, after one of her busts of enthusiasm at getting to play outdoors with her pals, she sits nicely for a treat. With guidance and training, Piper would be a great walking/jogging partner...and what a great way to bond with your new dog, too! Remember that treats are an excellent tool in which to motivate successful training; plus, Piper is super smart and learns very easily! We absolutely recommend a home with a fenced backyard for Piper as well as an active family looking to include her in their adventures. She would be a terrific playmate for outdoorsy kiddos and another energetic dog. We conduct virtual meet and greets for out-of-town applicants and offer transport (the adoption fee includes transport to your location) to many neighboring and northeastern states. At this time we are not able to transport into Massachusetts and Rhode Island. Piper's adoption fee is $225, which includes transport, deworming, spay surgery, vaccines, and microchipping. Piper tested heartworm negative on a snap test.
