Posey - terrific tripaw!

This dog is currently out of state but will be transported to New England shortly with no additional travel costs. The long distance adoption process includes talking to the foster they are living with in the south. Thank you!** Meet Posey - a 2 year old, Hound mix, who weighs approximately 40 pounds (as of 7/8/24). This sweet tripaw was found as a stray and when she entered our care, she had puppies and a shattered leg. She was found at a hunting camp and had clearly been abandoned. She was emaciated and clearly in pain and gave her puppies 100% of her energy to keep them alive. We're happy to report that all of her pups have found their forever homes and now it's Posey's turn! After amputating her back leg, we have nursed Posey back to health and have watched her heal, learn to trust humans, gain weight, and love again. It has been quite a journey, but Posey is happy, healthy and ready to find her forever family! It is most likely that both their parents were strays and even if not, mixes of some sort and that their grandparents were mixes as well. The dog may have some genetic material of an American Staffordshire Terrier (pit bull).
