My Story

Intake: 4/10/24 ??? Bio: Princess Peke mix is an eight year, female, brown, peke mix.  She is a chunky girl around 15lbs.  Princess was in a shelter and had major Infections upon shelter intake.  Once in the shelter, she got more sick with upper respiratory.  She was not able to be placed on adoption floor.  Our rescue accepted her and immediately took her to our vet.  Her upper respiratory turned into pneumonia and Xrays showed fluid in lungs.  She spent several days with our vet for more intensive care.  Princess still has some lingering health issues that need to be addressed, but she is now eating and drinking well.  Princess appears to be deaf.  She sleeps soundly and nothing phases her.  She does however, respond quickly when her foster mom walks in the kitchen. This sweet girl is totally house trained.  She has claimed the living room ottoman and feels sleeping in a dog bed on the floor is “beneath her”.  This dog had to be loved at some point.  The shelter thought her owner passed. Princess still has an issue in her ear.  It appears to be a tumor that may need to be removed.  Because she was so sick with upper respiratory and pneumonia, we have not even begun to address her ear issues.  That is up next once she is more stable and healthier.  She is an easy little girl who is full of love to give.
