6/17/10 UPDATE: Reggie was adopted in November 2009. They are returning him because he keeps going off their property. He will need a home with a fenced in yard, to always be on a leash or tie-out, or an experienced dog person capable to training him to stay on your property.
Reggie is about 2-years old. He is a very active and energetic male. He has lots of energy! He is very friendly and has that great lab personality. Would do best in a home that is willing to give him lots of exercise and attention as Reggie does need a lot of room to run and play.
9/28/09 UPDATE: The vet office where we were boarding Reggie said he is a great dog. He was very hyper his first day there but has calmed down now after a couple of days. He is so friendly and just wants to please humans any way he can. He seems to be housetrained threy said as he has never messed in his kennel. He already knows "sit" and "stay". He is a smart dog and very trainable.
10/7/09 UPDATE: Reggie is in an actual foster home now. The first day him and the foster dog growled at each other trying to establish dominance. But it is better after a day and he has settled in. Now him and the foster dog like to play together. He is learning his limits and boundries, learning what no means. We need to start working on training a little more and will do that this weekend. He gets upset when you walk away from him and go in the house or leave him in a room and you walk away.
10/12/09 UPDATE: Reggie is doing really well. No accidents in the house, he hasn't tried to chew on anything but his bone or toys and he stays out of the garbage. He does excellent with his baths, sits patiently doesn't try to get out or anything. He still has seperation anxiety, when we put him in the basement, the dogs play area with toys and bones, but he is getting better. He will do about anything for a treat and is learning to sit and wait for his food. I would suggest a house with a fenced in yard, he does really well on the tie out. At first we could let him run and play with us in the yard but since its not fenced we soon learned how much he loves to chase birds in the field. He got away from me one day and ran across the field and woudn't come when I called, but as soon as I pulled up in the van he jumped right in. He knows not to jump on our family but when new people come he gets excited and jumps up. Some men he has problems trusting right away, he is a little shy when they go to pet him but he is never aggressive to a human. He is learning not to chase cats or my pet rabbits. Reggie is a great dog!
Will someone please adopt Reggie and give him a forever home? $75.00 adoption fee.
