Robert

Robert is a 2 yr. old male Treeing Walker Coonhound & our February 'Deb's Dog of the Month'.*
Robert hasn't had the best life up til now. The shelter staff found Robert in horrible condition with a chain tightly digging in his neck causing painful infected wounds. His chest had a open wound from laying on the bare, cold hard ground. Among other things, Robert was a hurting boy.


'Deb's Dog of the Month' has paid for Robert's medical treatments and he is doing so much better.

Robert has been recuperating for over a month at the shelter and has all the staff & volunteers in LOVE with him. He is testimony to the trust and unconditional love an animal will give when they are treated finally with care and kindness. It is amazing how absolutely sweet, kind and gentle this lovely boy is.

Robert is a Meet Your Match™ orange Wallflower! He likes to go for walks and play outside with his new doggie friends during 'Doggie Playtime'! He doesn't know many tricks but he is doing excellent with his crate training. Robert mainly LOVES people and is so happy when he is around his people pals. He is so full of joy to have the attention. He is a affectionate and loving canine looking for a loving, caring owner who will help him blossom. Robert's only wish in life is to be happy & loved.

UDATE (2-7-07): Robert has been adopted!! He has had many Angels looking out for him and his ultimate Angel has arrived to give him a loving home! Such wondeful news!

MORE NEWS: Another Angel for Robert (2-8): Robert LOVES his Kuranda dog bed! He normally is as quiet as a mouse, but the first day a shelter staff person had to remove his dog bed to clean it, Robert started howling this long sad howl until he got his bed back !
The Kurnada dog bed company heard about Robert's story and how much he loved his bed. They have asked that Robert's Kuranda dog bed be sent with him to his new home and they are generously going to donate a new bed for the shelter as a replacement.
