My Story

This is ROCCO! He was rescued by one of our amazing volunteers in PR late February 2022. He is about 20 months old as of September 2023 and he’s about 32 lbs, give or take. We are not sure what breed he is but we think Lab mixed with some sort of shepherd! We love his brindle coat. He’s simply gorgeous! He was found as a stray with his buddies who have already been adopted. We think he was dumped by his previous owner based on where he was found and also because he’s so ridiculously friendly! No health concerns and up to date with vaccinations. He looks a lot bigger in these pics but he’s on the smaller side of a medium sized dog. Rocco is a total sweetie! He loves cuddles, kisses, and affection! He’s just a happy boy, loves to play, loves dogs and all people! Can not say enough good things about him! He loves to play with his ball toys. He has been around children and is great! We think he’d be good with cats too! If you are interested in Rocco, please complete an application from our site: https://www.miraclesforsatosrescue.org/adoption-foster-application Applications must be complete to be considered. Your application will not get lost! We are a small but efficient rescue and review each and every application! ____________________________________________ PLEASE NOTE: This dog is currently in Puerto Rico. Once an adopter is fully approved, transport will be arranged to New York. We strive for our dogs to be adopted into the right home. The best fit for the dog is our priority. We ask that you please make sure if interested in a puppy or high energy breed that you are ready for this time consuming/daily endeavor and have patience as this is a long term commitment (could be 15+ years). Please consider your future lifestyle after COVID. Please make sure you are ready to properly exercise and give a dog all it needs for fulfillment. Your ongoing time and day-to-day commitment is the most important thing in caring for a dog. In addition we cannot guarantee breed of any dog or expected adult size of a puppy. Thank you for understanding.
