Roman

Roman is an about 8 year old male giant schnauzer. Moses is gentle, peaceful, protective, He will bark when strangers are around the house like landscapers, but I think our little Havanese provokes him to bark. He will not bark when we welcome someone into the home. If someone comes to our front gate he will jump up on the gate and growl. He did let a Javalina into our home one time and did not engage with it at all, just laid down at the end of the hall and watched it. We have long door handles and both of them can open them and get in or out of the house if they are unlocked. :0) Roman is almost 100 pounds right now and needs to lose a little weight. Besides the valley fever detected in his blood work at times, he is very strong and healthy. He will have a blood test with us to see if he still needs to be on his meds. Valley Fever if treated can be benign in dogs. We have personally had two large dogs with it who lived normal life spans. He thinks he’s a lap dog and will try to ease himself up on our lap when we are resting. He has been using an automated dog door at our home to go outside to their kennel. When he plays with us he can jump around you and push into you a bit. Has knocked me down a couple of times, but we’ve allowed him to play kind of rough with us. He’s gentle with other dogs at the dog park and gets along with all the others, big or small. He likes to get wet but does not like to swim. Roman stays in the bedroom at night. He’s been snaked trained. He’s great around the girls. Roman is an incredible giant schnauzer with lots of love and protection to give.
