Rooney is a wonderful 18-24 month old fella who weighs in at 48 lbs. He was an owner surrender when his owner was deployed to the middle east. He is used to living with another dog and loves dogs: also has lived with children ages 2-9 in his southern foster home and loved them! He does not love crates though so will need a home where he would not need to be crated. He also needs a fenced yard because he has lots of energy and tends to pull on leash. He is housebroken and just waiting for his forever home!
We'd love to find a home with another dog for him--preferably a female dog. He is used to living with a female shepherd who has since been adopted. Adoption fee: $200

We are a network of foster homes in the South and the New England area. THERE IS NO SPECIFIC SHELTER LOCATION. If you wish to meet our dogs, you must first be approved by going through our application and screening process.
Forever Home Rescue suggests obedience training for all puppies and dogs. All dogs are up to date on their shots, dewormed and spayed or neutered. Vet fees, transport fee and New England quarantine fees ARE INCLUDED in each dog's adoption fee. Also, any dogs older than pups--even if they are not marked housetrained in their posting---usually housetrain within a day or two, because most are used to living outside in the south and will prefer to "do their business" outdoors.
