Roscoe is a 1 yr old silver Llasa Apso who is looking for a new forever home. He is a one person dog in that he will bond quickly to a person and become a constant companion. UPDATE: Roscoe has been with me for 2 weeks and he is turning into a wonderful pet. He lays on his back and shows his tummy so I can rub it, and he always has a wagging tail when he sees me. This is a great little dog who will make someone a loyal pet.

Adopting a dog that has been moved from a home to a shelter and then to a rescue is not for everyone. It takes time and patience to make that dog feel at home in his new environment. It takes at least 1 week and usually up to a month for a dog to acclimate to your schedule and home. An animal shelter is the most stressful place for a dog to be, with other dogs barking and not knowing what is happening around them. Some dogs come to their new home scared and timid. They will sometimes take several days before they start eating and have anything to do with the new adopters.

It's not easy rescuing a dog. It takes patience and time and LOVE. These dogs need love and understanding, not another rejection.
