Ruger (Mud Puppy#3)

Hi, I'm Ruger. I'm a 9 mo. old German Shepherd who came into rescueafter living outdoors in a dog run with my siblings. When I first met my foster parents I was so afraid I was huddled in the corner with one of my siblings. They brought me to their house and I met their two dogs and I was just as afraid of them. Fast forward 2 weeks.... I follow my foster dad everywhere and if he's not home I follow my foster mom everywhere. I love my foster siblings and I respect them if they don't want to play or interact. I love my food and my toys and I will share them. I love to run and play, chew on toys (shred them) and when it's time to come in and calm down I'm a good boy and I would go to my bed. I'm crate trained and I have never had an accident in the house. I love treats and take them pretty gently and I go to the door to let them know I need to go out. I've learned sit and I'm doing pretty well on down, leave it, off. I haven't counter surfed in almost a week. New things, new experiences and new people can be a little intimidating but I'm very curious and I adapt pretty quickly. I will need someone with patience to let me fully develop into the wonderful dog I'm going to be. A home with another confident dog who is young and playful would be ideal. A fencedyard would be ideal so I can run and play. Toddlers are a little scary as they move fast and they make lots of high-pitched noises. I would probably do okay with kids a little older who respect me and will give me time to warm up to them.
