Rumby is a very handsome and energetic young shepherd mix. He is highly intelligent and will test boundaries every now and then like many young pups do. Rumby is part of the SPCA's RACE (Runner Assisted Canine Exercise) Team and enjoys running, playing two-ball fetch, swimming and going for car rides. He thrives on work-play balance and would do best in a home with no small children and an owner committed to exercising his body and mind.
Once he is bonded with you, he is extremely protective to a fault. He will need a home who can commit to training and working on his behavioral needs. Previous large breed and dominant dog experience is required!
Rumby needs a strong, committed, and experienced handler who can work with him on leash reactivity, protectiveness, and stranger danger.
