My Story

The reason we have this dog: Rescued from a Breeding Facility Born 3/02
Is this dog an indoor or outdoor dog: indoor
Activity Level: Moderate-High
Likes: Running, twirling, spinning in circles, and playing. You would never know she is as old as she is.
Dislikes: New situations - still learning that life outside of a kennel is not as scary as it seems!
Socialized with People: VERY much so
Socialized with Children: 10 Years +
History with Children:
Issues with Cats: Likes cats
Issues with Dogs: None whatsoever
Aggression Issues: None
Housetrained: Working on it!
Crate Trained: Working on it!
Behavior Issues: None
Fearful or Shy: She is a GREAT dog with an AWESOME temperament - would make a great pet for an older person.
Health Issues: Has lost some teeth due to poor care. Needs soft foods.
Ideal Adopter: Couple with some patience and time to devote to her to allow her to reach her full potential. Understanding that housetraining may be difficult for this little girl

A.A.R.F. is a 501(c)(3) Animal Rescue/Foster organization. Animals are removed from life threatening situations and fostered in our homes until a forever home can be found. Our policies dictate which homes these animals can be adopted to.

Prior to adoption, ALL dogs are spayed or neutered, they get current on all vaccinations, including rabies if they are old enough, they are treated as a prevention for fleas, ticks, earmites and mange, are tested for Heartworm and are on Heartworm prevention. In addition, any other health issues are addressed that become apparent while in our program. To adopt this dog, you will first need to complete an application, which can be found on our website at www.aarf-tn.com.

If you have un-fixed animals, we ask that you PLEASE become part of the solution to animal overpopulation by spaying or neutering your pets. Assistance can be obtained by calling the Humane Society of Putnam County Spay and Neuter Clinic at (931) 372-2728.
