Scrappy

THANKS TO SUE OUR SCRAPPY HAS A HAPPY, FOREVER HOME!!!!! For those of you that have been following Scrappy, we are starting all over with Scrappy's bio. He continues to amaze us with his progress on being such a good boy. Scrappy lives with 5 other Jacks, both males and females, 2 Aussies and a Lab. He lives with them in perfect harmony. He plays, shares treats, and chewies and loves the other dogs. He could live alone or with others. He does do his little growling routine when he's being petted and played with but it never goes anywhere. He's just "talking" as many Jacks do. We feel that Scrappy would be best suited for owner/owners who have had previous dog ownership experience so that he can be given the time he needs to establish some trust with his new owners and new surroundings. Since he has never been around children we feel that he should be in an adult household. We do know that Scrappy is very affectionate. He is very well behaved; crate trained, house trained, stays with you where ever you are, always comes when he is called. He has been off leash at the farm since he came and is 100% reliable. Scrappy came to us from his original owner. We explained to her that we don't take owner releases but she said that her new husband was going to kill him if she didn't get rid of him immediately. So we took him. She had had him since he was 8 weeks old and he is 4. He has lived in a condo with a single, working woman for most of those 4 years. She literally handed him out of the car window and drove away. He has not been well treated; flinches at loud noises and quick movement although that is improving. We think he's been hit a lot. Scrappy likes men and woman equally but has never been around children, doesn't bark and would be happy with just someone to love him. He will need to learn to trust and wants to. He's really a super little dog that will just get better and better. If you have the right home for Scrappy this little dog will be a wonderful companion. He needs his own person to love him and show him life can be good.
