SHADOW-ADOPTED!

UPDATE! Shadow is loving & funny when she is playing with a ball, she like to pounce on it! She does LOVE any and all attention. Shadow really likes going on car rides, seems to enjoy the beach and walks. She has been 'vacationing' at a friend's home and they say she "will make someone a wonderful friend, she seems to be loyal and protective, qualities which I tend to like in a dog."

Freezing temperatures, bitter wind, snowfall and ice, few passer-byers, dark, lonely nights, still waiting and hopeful someone would return for her. There was a little shadow among the densely forested backroads (of Sultan), one that would peek out at every passing car, hoping it was her own, but still one that remained leery of the unrecognizable motorists. So she would slink quietly back into the woods, with an attentive eye always on the look out.

After tempting with food and making her living conditions more suitable for inclement weather, we waited... patience, persistence and prayers...until the day she trusted us! Though she was cautious about all the going-ons, with her all knowing eyes we knew she had a sweet spirit. After a vet check and numerous baths to get all of the caked filth off, she came out clean and refreshed but in rather sad shape from enduring such harsh conditions. Shadow had a mere waistline, a prominent rib cage and jutting hip bones, plus hair loss from malnutrition. She went into a loving foster home where she received the best of care and is now thriving! She LOVES her doggie foster siblings and has become a beloved furry family member. She went from lying curled up on hard, icy ground to lounging on the plush sofa while watching the emmy awards with her foster family.

Shadow has acclimated well to doggie companion life. She LOVES everyone! We believe she is approximately 2-3 years of age. Shadow is still playful, silly and open with affection. Jogging and running with her person may not be her calling, but for any other activities she just wants to be with her person. Shadow has a whole lot of heart and enthusiasm to love!!
