UPDATE FROM SHELLY RESCUER. SHE IS GOING TO LIVE AT DOG TOWN, IN UTAH. BEST FRIENDS HAS AGREE TO TAKE HER IN. WHAT A WONDERFUL CHRISTMAS MIRACLE FOR SHELLY. THIS IS A PRIVATE ADOPTION. ADOPT A PET HAS NEVER MET THIS PET AND THE ADOPTION WILL BE DONE BETWEEN THE OWNER AND THE ADOPTER HERE IS WHAT WE WERE TOLD ABOUT SHELLY. The attached picture is of a shepherd/pitbull mix female dog. She's my friend's mother's dog, but she's become very, very ill with cancer and has been back and forth in the intensive care unit. She can no long care for herself, let along her dog. The dog is in the house, alone, almost all day. She's confined in a room all by herself. No one is home to care for her. Too infrequently is she let out that I'm afraid if it continues, she's going to get desensitized to people. She's a loving dog, but doesn't get along with another dog that was in the house. Don't know if it was something between them or with all dogs. So it would be safe to say she might have to be the only dog. She's about 9 yrs. old. She's not up to date on her shots, but my friend is willing to pay for anything and everything to get her up to speed if we could just find her a loving home. She walks nice on the leash and enjoys being outside. My friend has two little yorkies, that's why she can't take her. It's breaking all of their hearts because it was their brother's dog, who has since died about 5 yrs. ago. It's like their last attachment to him. But all that aside, we have to do what's best for the dog. Please, please can any of you help us? This is such a sad situation. If there's anything or anyone that can help, please let me know.
