Sienna

Meet beautiful and sweet, sweet Sienna!!! Sienna came to us from Louisiana where she had been left tied to a dumpster at a truck stop and was starving to death when she was picked up my animal control. To make things even worse for this sweet baby, no one would help her and instead people would drive by and throw things at her!!!! Once saved from this desperate situation on the streets, Sienna faced another challenge with death -- any dog that has any that animal control things may have even a hint of stafforshire, pit bull, american bulldog or other 'bully' breed is immediately sent to the gas chamber!! Sienna had won the heart of the animal control officer that saved her from the streets and she contacted a local rescue to try and help her....they were sent to us and the rest, as they say is history.....lady luck was on her side once again as we just happened to have room in our adoption program for her!!

When I first got Sienna, she was very scared and shy. She was most comfortable hiding under our boat or in the darkest corner of the garage but when you called her, you could hear her tail wagging and wagging...she quickly warmed up and was enjoying regular meals, treats and even toys. She had 2 sisters and 4 brothers to romp and play with too and they let her know that she was now safe and didn't have to worry about people being mean anymore.....one evening I went out to check on her and she was just laying on the concrete so I just picked her up and carried her over to all the big pile of dog beds and pillows we have for them and the look on her face was just priceless...she was in heaven!!!

She is now totally out of her shell -- she runs to meet you and love all over you when she sees you -- she loves to loved on scratched on her belly and behind her ears..she loves her treats and is even learning how to play ball....she walks very good on a leash and has good manners....after a life on the streets, she's still unsure of coming in the house but she quickly follows the lead of the rest of doggie pack!

Sienna is a very petite little lady -- she is a Staffordshire mix, she is on the small side and weighs about 40 pounds. She has the most beautiful coat and appears to be dark blue in color with white markings on her chest and feet. She is about 2 years old. She is spayed and up to date on her shots and will be microchipped too!!

Sienna is TOTALLY Housetrained and EXTREMELY well-behaved and MINDS very, very well!! She is currently enrolled in an obedience class and you will receive a FREE obedience course upon adoption!! She gets along well with other dogs but does have a dominant personality so will do best with submissive dogs. She is great with both men and women too!! You might see some little white markings on her and they are just little white streaks of hair :)
