My Story

Adopted 08/21/10

This cute boy's name is Slim Jim and with his markings he looks much like a Pointer Cross. He's only medium sized right now, around 25-30lbs; not too large, not too small :) He was a little on the slim side when he came into our program as a malnourished stray, hence his name, but he has filled out a bit now and he's ready for adoption! Slim Jim is thought to be approximately 9 or 10 months old or so. He's a sweet boy who does well with most other dogs, loves to play, and has been gentle and well behaved with all people. Slim is still learning what it is like to be a pet and he is working hard on his potty training. He will need continued education in this regard but has improved greatly since the start with only occasional accidents. Slim Jim would love to be your couch potato and companion for life. Please note, he will require a fenced in yard to keep him safe

Slim Jim is already neutered, tested heartworm negative, and is fully vaccinated. His adoption fee to an approved home is $85.

If you might be interested in Slim Jim, please email [email protected] with any questions or to request an adoption application to see if he would be a good fit for your family. Slim Jim is currently fostered in Richmond, KY by a Humane Society volunteer. Thank you for looking to adopt a dog in need of a home!
