Animal Haven I wanted to take a moment to introduce myself to everyone as well as tell you my story. My name is Sloan, I'm about 10-12 months old and I'm a female black and tan Rottweiler. I was rescued from a dangerous situation by a volunteer on a dark and scary night. The volunteer called me to her, but I was scared because I didn't know her. I knew that her voice was kind so I slowly walked to her. She had food for me which was really nice since for some reason my humans forgot to feed me that day. I climbed into her car and sat next to her wondering where she was going to take me. We drove for several minutes and arrived at a strange house full of other humans. They all came out to see me and told me what a good girl I am. A Christmas party was going on and I was asked to join in too. I was given lots of dog food and all the love a pup could want. I was told by the volunteer that she would find me a new and better home where I would always be safe. With my rescue group I'm not considered to be just an animal, but actually one of the family. I already know basic commands such as sit and down and my foster family will be taking me to canine training classes to teach me all of the other commands. I'm great with other dogs and I'm fine in a crate too. However...I would love to be free in my humans house when they are not home as I am house trained. I went into heat after joining my rescue group which works out great for me. I would have hated to have had pups when there are so many homeless animals out there. My rescue group will have me spayed as soon as the Vet says it's okay and then I'll be ready for my forever home! My Christmas wish has come true as I am safe in a loving home. My next wish is to find a forever home of my own. I promise to give you tons of kisses and wags. Sloan is a WONDERFUL little girl and she is super with eveyone that she meets. We want her to go to a loving home that will spoil her rotten and give her the love that her last owners never did. She is not a yard / guard dog, she is an inside cream puff that couldn't hurt a bug. But look out all you dog toys because she loves you! See ya soon.
