Snickers is a 3yr old Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever mix. We're thinking with some sort of spaniel. Snickers is pretty compact at about 50 lbs with lots of beautiful fluffy fur. It's hard to tell here because he has been partially shaved and we may clean him up more by shaving him down the rest of the way. Not sure why anyone shaved him as bad as they did, but his coat has varying shades of soft golden brown, auburn. Duck Tollers are similar to golden retrievers in nature and looks, though a bit smaller.
Snickers came to us from Alabama and his history is a mystery, however, it's apparent he was someone's dog since he is housebroken and loves to just lay around you.
Snickers is going to need some time in foster care and medical attention prior to adoption. He is heartworm positive, so will go through an 8 week treatment for that and then will undergo knee surgery to repair his kneecap that is out of place.
