My Story

Snoopy is a mostly black tri-colored male basset. He originally came to BHRG in 1999 and was adopted. His family has had a major lifestyle change and can no longer give their three bassets (Roscoe, Maxine, and Snoopy) the attention they need. Snoopy is housetrained and uses a dog door. Snoopy has bent front legs, so you would think he would have trouble walking. He doesn't! Let him see someone he wants to find out about and he will run to be greeted, so hold on to his leash. His tail whirls like a helicopter. Snoopy is a great basset with a deep howl which he uses to tell you it's time to eat. He is a gentle, friendly boy with ears so long that he sometimes steps on them. He just needs a walk a day, ear cleanigs, a weekly bath and daily belly rubs or side pats. He also enjoys sunbathing and spending alot of time in the yard. This 8-year-old boy likes to sit by you and watch TV. Snoopy is healthy and is up-to-date on his vaccinations and heartworm prevention and gets along with cats just fine. He could stand to lose some weight and is on the heavy side at 64 lbs.
