EDIT: I was recently returned after spending time with my adoptive family for 2-3 years. I came back extremely overweight, and heart-worm positive again. I am being treated yet again, for heart-worms which breaks my team's heart. I am available for adoption, but my new family needs to understand the state my heart is in. My rescue team will cover the costs of my heart-worm treatment through their vet, so my new family will need to take me to my scheduled appointments. Sophie is available for adoption in NC or AR. _____________ I am around 10 years old. I am spayed, current on vaccines, and was recently treated for heartworm disease, some pretty severe pressure sores, and dental breaks from living a life on a chain. Despite my past, I am one of the sweetest dogs. I love my people, and I love to go where you are. I get along fine with cats and dogs alike but can be timid or nervous upon the first meeting. I am a homebody type dog, versus an adventure dog, so call me a couch potato lol and I'll be happy. *Jaded Paws Rescue is a 501c3 foster-run organization, and we do not have a kennel facility for the general public to come and visit. We do this because we find our animals will be much more accustomed to the home environment when the time comes that they get adopted! Our adoption process includes an adoption application, a meet and greet, and a 7-day adoption trial at the prospective family's home before the adoption is official.
