Star

Star was at the adoption site without collare and tags one Saturday as the rest of the foster animals were arriving. He had been on the loose in Sylva for a while, living off meals at the Community Table, and other kind folk.. He was turned over to the Shelter, and when no one claimed him after three days, ARF took him into their foster program. Star is a young adult, maybe a yearling, with captivating blue eyes, and healthy teeth. He is good with other dogs and all people. He is current on shots and healthy. He is learning his house manners, including house breaking. He walks well on a leash, but is a jumper and has gone over a four foot fence. So he needs a forever home wih a pen height greater than his ability to leap! He will be neutered on November 30, 2009 and available for adoption in time for Christmas! Call Claire at 828-586-5186

Because of this animal's uncertain history, we assume he or she is not housebroken unless we have stated otherwise. However, most dogs are trainable and eager to please. ARF will happily advise prospective owners about crate training and the latest housebreaking tools.

We set up at our new location on 50 Railroad Street, Sylva, NC every Saturday from noon until 4 or 5 PM. You can also view animals by making an appointment with the foster parent. Get approximate directions from your location.
