SWEET AND GENTLE ADDY - NOT AVAILABLE IN OUR FOSTER TO ADOPT PROGRAM Breed: Collie Mix Sex: Female Age: approximately 4 years old Size: large Health: Good health, vet checked, fully vaccinated including rabies, flea and worm treatments, spayed, microchipped, heart worm tested (negative), full panel bloodwork, full dental. Adoption Fee: $850 Addy is so unique looking and is a beautiful blend of several breeds. She is approximately four years old and is 70 pounds. She is in good health, has been vet checked, is fully vaccinated including rabies, flea and worm treatments, spayed, microchipped, heart worm tested (negative), has had full panel bloodwork done and also had a dental. She has made good progress in foster care, there will still be a transitional period for her to get used to her new family as she is on the shy side. This is due to her lack of socialization when she was a pup, but when she gets to know you, you’ll be her best friend. She warms up to women faster than she does with men we believe in her former home her owner was a woman, and she had little exposure to men or the exposure she had to men was negative. She is a very loving and sweet girl. Addy has done obedience training, and did very well in class. She knows her basic commands, such as sit, down and stay. She walks well on leash. Addy is housetrained, as well as crate trained. Addy loves car rides, she is not a beggar for food, and she does not try to get on the furniture. She is excellent with well mannered, children and dogs. She is also good with cats. The best home situation for Addie would be: -an experienced dog savvy home with someone that has previous dog experience that can continue with Addy’s obedience skills to boost her confidence and help move her forward in all different social situations - a completely fenced in yard that is at least 6’ high (she will require to be on a long line and supervised for the first little while until she settles in - a calm, quiet home with or without a mild/mellow male dog - someone that is retired/works from home/not away from home for more than 4 hours per day - no children under 12 years old even though Addy is very child savvy she requires calm children to help her feel comfortable - must be 25 years or older and live in Ontario Please note Addy requires thyroid medication for her lifetime. The cost is approximately $35 a month. Along with her yearly check she will require a blood test to check her thyroid level.
