If you're looking for a little companion to keep you warm this winter, I may just be the boy for you! I'll curl up in the blanket with you anytime! I am a super cute chi mix that was rescued by the good folks of SOS just in time. I was a high priority case for SOS, both because I was just too great to lose and because I was a pretty severe case of neglect. I'm 3 yrs old and was an owner turn-in at Wayne County. I have a severe skin condition due to a flea infestation. I was so severely neglected that my skin was seaping and my entire body was sore and itchy. And, my nails were overgrown to add to my misery. The great people of SOS took me in, have had me medicated with several antibiotics, bathed me with medicated shampoo, and have given me nourishment for my body and soul. I am feeling better, but it may take another week or so for my skin to complete the healing process and maybe even longer for me to grow in a full beautiful coat. I will get rechecked by the vet the week of December 14th and may be ready for adoption soon after that. I would make someone a happy owner because I'm sweet and love giving and receiving attention! I am a little more dominant of a personality, so may be better suited with a submissive dog and I'm too excited to chase cats to have them as friends. However, I am awesome in the crate, easy to take on walks, very small in size and love car rides, and get along with all people companions...including kids!
