My Story

9/27/08 - I'VE BEEN ADOPTED!

6/12/08 - Let’s see, what can we say about Tucker? Well, he’s all boy, 14 lbs. of pure terrier, has a strong prey drive (loves to stalk the birds and squirrels), likes to play with other dogs, but gets a little rough with his foster siblings because of his size, would love to be an only dog and doted on, is paper trained but will also go outside to do his business (but mistakes are going to happen), will try to steal table scraps if left unattended, would benefit from an alpha owner who would enjoy going to obedience training with him, likes to sleep on the couch by himself, creeps around the house like a cat and will come for loving on his own time frame. Tucker’s kind of like a cheetah in a doggy body except that he is much cuter.

1-24-08: Hi, Tucker here. It has been a while since I’ve written, so I wanted to update you on a few things regarding myself. I love to play with toys and/or people and can play rough if you get me hyped up. I have somewhat of a "cat" personality in that I’m not a big cuddler, but will come to get petted and loved on on my own terms. I love to sleep in the bed touching my human, but don’t like to be smothered. At my foster home, I’ve learned to go to the door and scratch when I need to go out, but will faithfully use the puppy pads when I can’t make it out or if it is raining. I need to make a correction on my original bio, in that I didn’t necessarily have "separation anxiety", I just hated being put in a crate. So on that note, I cannot and will not be crated. If you think you have what it takes to be Tucker’s owner, please fill out our online application.

10/07 - Meet Tucker, a high energy, sweet 10 month old pup who was surrendered by his owner because she did not have time to care for him properly. He is absolutely adorable!

Tucker has some issues with separation anxiety and will need a home where he is not left alone for long periods. He is still a puppy and does get into things when left alone, so his environment needs to be kept safe and puppy proofed! Tucker knows to go to the door to go outside but may have an occasional accident as he is still a baby.

Tucker needs a home where he will have lots of play time with perhaps another pupster or even older children who have experience with smaller breeds.

Tucker is healthy, up to date on his shots, and has been neutered. All he needs is a home to love him! If you think you could provide a wonderful, loving forever home for Tucker, please complete an adoption application! Thank you!
