Walter is ADOPTED!

Walter is an amazingly sweet 9 year old boy whose family left him at a shelter. Well, being 9 years old, a black dog, and a rottie were all not in Walter's favor. So now he is with us in rescue. This is a very docile guy, who is well mannered, and gets along with anyone and everyone. He is a kind and calm boy, seems to know some commands, and 'Aced' the temperment testing. Why would you choose Walter? After all he's just another old big black dog, - and a breed that sadly many people shy away from. There are so many younger, cuter looking dogs sitting in urgent need in shelters around the country, all so deserving of a new chance of life, and all competing to get your attention - to be THE one that gets a new life. Poor Walter can't compete against all those young cute pups, BUT, he has so much to offer. Seniors have their own brand of cuteness and joy, they recognize that the family that falls in love with them is beyond special and so very worthy of their love and devotion, and they don't hold back showing it. We would love to see Walter go to a home with a large fenced in back yard where he could run and play. Sadly, we think Walter was kept as an outside dog, and never housetrained.
