WINSTON - Adopted

MEET WINSTON....a strapping young 3 yr old, 19lb male Havanese/Shih Tzu mix. He is being given up because he is unfortunately not good with toddlers pulling his hair and falling on him....and there are youngsters in his present home. His humans love him to pieces, but they feel there is a better home for him where there will be no constant worries. Winston possesses the best qualities of both breeds: the intelligence of a Havanese and playfulness of a Shih Tzu. He loves to be the center of attention, and would gladly spend most of his time sitting next to you while you lavish him with it. He is eager to please and LOVES to give kisses! He knows a few commands like "sit" and "come," and he likes to play with his toys (with or without you). While he is seen in the video with another dog, this seems to be the ONLY dog he likes, despite attempts to socialize him with other dogs. He is a nervous around them and should go into a one dog only home -- hey, nobody's perfect -- but Winston is close!! He's good with older kids (8+), and would love to have some to play with -- but needs to be your only dog. He is housebroken thru a doggie door (but may need some adjustment time)., or is housetrained with someone there to let him out. His ideal home will be with someone who will take him everywhere and not leave him alone...either work from home, take him to work with you or maybe a stay at home mom with older kids!! But he is also OK alone as long as it is not all day long. Attention is the key to Winston's heart... hopefully, you've got lots to give!!
