***UPDATE FROM PORTERS TRAINER***02/09/10 Porter continues to impress the staff and inmates . We daily draw a crowd eager to see Porter train . Porter is at 35 commands and working his way to the big 40 . Porter is full of energy & love and is ready to bless anyone who is ready to be a dog entertainer in the neighborhood . Porter is eager to learn and impress . He has great potential to be a agility dog. He will bring a smile to your face or tear to your eye in the affection he shows to the person he loves . ***** We believe Porter is a Patterdale Terrier. ( please research the breed if you are not familiar with it) Porter is estimated to be 3 yrs old. This 16 lb boy is all muscle; loves to play and learn! Porter is very lovable, and wants to please everyone he meets, why he has not been adopted yet is beyond us. He has made so much progress with his training we call him the little wonder dog! He knows all the following commands: sit, down, up, off, front, finish, heel, come, and stay! He also knows: how to pray, play dead, sit up, and " direct target training" which means he will touch an object with his paw, with the commands: left, middle, right. ( the first picture shows him doing this) If you are looking for a small barrel of fun Porter is your guy! He does not do well with cats and a fenced yard is required. Porter is currently enrolled in the RPSM Canine Correctional Program at the Coldwater Prison Complex. Porter will be finished with his training in mid-February . He is ready for his forever home . All our dogs are completely vetted, spayed/neutered, and micro-chipped plus have received 3 months of training. Porter's adoption fee is 150.00.
