My Story
Wookie is a young Pyr boy, taken into rescue from a kill shelter in northeastern MO, picked up as a stray in a town of 7,000. Advertised for a week, no one claimed him. He has been groomed/shaved within last 2-3 months. Valiant efforts following rescue to find his former owners, were also unsuccessful. Spent several days with interim foster where he was perfect. House trained (goes to door & waits, holds it until he is let out), got along lovingly with elderly house cats & a bonded pair of male/female Pyrs in the house. No vices have been found, no digging, barking, climbing, jumping or hiking leg. Drools a bit only when nervous in new situations, is quickly over it. Loves getting a bath. Perfect manners on a leash, at the vet, in public. Hops in & out of vehicle willingly, rides nicely. Not XL boy yet, weighs 82 lbs, can stand to gain weight. Nice, gentle, honest, sweet natured boy. Was such a hit with staff & waiting room clients on his 1st vet visit, he was invited to be a Pyr ambassador at the local nursing home. Gets along well anywhere you put him. Deserves to have a loving family of his own. Neutered, HW neg & on preventative, wormed, fully vaccinated w/rabies certificate. Comes with all veterinary records, new collar, rabies tag & new Frontline Plus applied.
Above ground traditional fencing, home visit, veterinary reference and adoption contract required to adopt this special boy. Adoption fee $300 plus $150 transport fee to northeastern US.
